SHRILEY ANN BORG, 68, of Ironton, passed away Nov. 12, 2025. She was born on Oct. 10, 1957, in Brainerd to Wilbert and Julia Fleishhacker. After Julia’s death, Shirley was raised by Margaret Gildart (Fuhrman). Shirley was employed at Kingwood Good Samaritan for 10 years, where she developed her love for the elderly and found time to make each person feel special. She went on to get her nursing degree and soon started work with Dr. Weidell at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, where she served for 40 years giving exceptional care to her patients and joy to her co-workers.

ALLEN "BIG AL" BRENYCZ, 55, died unexpectedly on Nov. 2, 2025. He was born on Sept. 13, 1970 in Milwaukee, WI, and grew up in Burnsville. He took full advantage of living near a lake and became an avid fisherman  who loved to bring critters and slimy critters home to ''surprise" his mom. He loved to ride his bike fast and to stay out later than he should have, and to take every dare that came his way. His love for adrenaline and the outdoors followed him throughout his life and he was never happier than when he had his own little place in Mora.

ELSIE ELIZABETH (RICHARDS) DOTZLER, 93, passed away on Nov. 5, 2025. She was born on May 22, 1932, in Chokio to Leonard and Elsie Richards. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church, Brainerd Eagles, Lifetime member of the Brainerd VFW and the Brainerd American Legion. She is survived by her five children: Robert (Diane) of Finlayson, Barbara Gray of Wasilla, AK, Steve (Darlene) of Anchorage, AK, Jeff of Emily and Marilyn (Pat) Meyer of Brainerd. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

SUZANNE "SUE" CAROL BOWLES, 81, of Deerwood, passed away peacefully on Nov. 7, 2025. Born in Brisbane, Australia, on Jan. 2, 1944, Sue lived a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity. She was known for her passion for crafting, her dedication to volunteering, and found joy in traveling. Above all, Sue cherished time spent with her family and friends, creating lasting memories and sharing laughter. Her warmth and caring spirit touched everyone who knew her.

TIMOTHY LOUIS SCHAEFER passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 1, 2025, at the age of 68. Though his passing came too soon, his family finds comfort in the many memories he leaves behind. Born to Joseph and Harriet (Fleming) Schaefer on Nov. 8, 1956, Tim grew up in New Rockford, North Dakota, and graduated from New Rockford High School. After several years farming with his family, he pursued a degree in Physics Engineering from North Dakota State University. His education led to a career with Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico.

SHIRLEY ALICE SELISKER, 90, of Crosby, passed away on Nov. 3, 2025 at the Heartwood Care Center in Crosby. She was born on June 25, 1935, in Brainerd, to Theodore and Lila LaVoie.  She graduated from Brainerd High School, class of 1953. She married her high school sweetheart, Bill Selisker, in December of 1955.   Shirley was employed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church rectory in Crosby. While still working at the rectory, she started attending classes at Brainerd Community College, where she earned her AA degree.

DELORES JANE GRINER, 82, of Deerwood, passed away peacefully on Oct. 23, 2025, at the Heartwood Care Center in Crosby. She was born on Sept. 17, 1943 in Brainerd to William and Rose (Dobervich) Perpich.   She was a Registered Nurse, practicing at the Miners Hospital in Crosby and Cedarbrook Manor in Deerwood. Survivors include her daughters, Linnea (Tom) Hallin of Ironton and Melinda Griner of Enid, OK; her two sons, John Griner of Ironton and Michael Griner of Deerwood; one brother, Jerry (Joanne) Perpich of Park Rapids; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

BRENDAN BROCK FLOWER, 64, passed away Oct. 22, 2025 at Wedum Hospice in Coon Rapids after years of complications from cancer. He was born Feb. 3, 1961 in Delwein, IA, to Ivan and Irene Flower. He worked many years in construction at Nor-Son. He loved helping friends with projects and loved spending time with his dog Lacy. He is survived by his fiancé Linda Flannigan of Crosby and three sisters: Mary Jean (Burdette) Anderson, Montana; Christine Dalquist, Egan Prairie and Jacqueline (William) Slattery, Crosby. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Jobe Michael Flower.

DIANE MARIE OLDS, 80, of Outing, passed away on Oct. 25, 2025, at the Heartwood Care Center in Crosby. She was born on Dec. 24, 1944, in St. Paul to Max and Susan (Brenhofer) Skweres. She was united in marriage to Roger Olds on Jan.7, 1967, in St. Paul. She was a devoted member of St. Emily’s Catholic Church in Emily, where she worshipped faithfully for decades after she and Roger were married. Over the years, she worked as a waitress at Vern’s Café in Outing, served as a long-time clerk and fire warden for Beulah Township, and volunteered with the Emily Food Shelf.
