JEANNETTE CAROL FAIRBANKS, 90, of Outing, passed away at Essentia St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd on July 5, 2026. She was born in St. Paul on Nov. 16, 1935 to Gerald and Carol (Jensen) Berry.  Jeannette married Charles Fairbanks Jr. on April 16, 1955 in Outing.   Jeannette was employed with Outing Lumber and Gift Gallery and Lake Country Properties in Outing for several years.  Jeanette had a deep love for her faith and family.  She was a member and the “heart” of the Narrows Community Church in Outing for many years. She had a deep love for her dog Zoe.

GREGORY P. MILLER, 66, of Crosby, passed away on May 15, 2026 at his home.  He was born on July 15, 1959 in Minneapolis. He is survived by siblings, Sandi Miller of Las Vegas, NV, Marianne (John) Paul of Coon Rapids, Josie (Jeff) Ditschler of Amery, WI, Terrie (Mike) Rabida of Wyoming, Jim (Sue) Miller of Crosby, Zef (Virginia) Miller of South St. Paul; many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his father, James L. Miller and his mother, Gerarda Miller.  A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Aug. 1, at noon, at Emily Wesleyan Church in Emily.

Thomas Allen stanton Obit

THOMAS ALLEN STANTON, 85, of Crosby, passed away on June 13, 2026 at our home. He was born in Owatonna on Aug. 30, 1940 to C.M. “Bud” and Ardele (Hill) Stanton. As a young boy, he discovered the thrill of speed on his hockey skates, making his way down Cinder Hill to Morehouse Park rinks where he made wonderful memories in the Warzinski warming house and on the ice. He enjoyed playing hockey through high school and later, coached the Weber’s Bar Seniors and broomball teams. Tom attended Owatonna High School and served in the United States Air Force.

DuWane Elton Lehrke Obit

DuWAYNE ELTON LEHRKE passed away at his home on July 1, 2026. He was born on July 26, 1946, in Crosby to Edward and Ruth (Oppelt) Lehrke, and was the youngest of four children. He graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1964 and went on to complete his studies as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. On Aug. 24, 1968, he was united in marriage to Sheila Sandberg. Together, they made their home in Detroit Lakes where they raised their four children.

BARBARA ANNE KIELTY, 91, of Brainerd, passed away at her home on July 3, 2026. She was a strong but gentle wife and mother who was an integral part of everyone’s life. She was active and lived life to the fullest.  Her passion was her church and family along with her love for the Minnesota Gophers and Twins.  She loved volunteering at the church and delivering meals for Meals on Wheels.   Barbara is survived by her eight children; Daniel (Chrissy), Theresa Gade (Richard), Steven (Mary), Patrick, Michael (Beth), Paul (Christine), Suzanne, Michele Hutton (David).

JAN D. BERSIE, 68, died June 25, 2026 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center of Crosby. He was born Jan. 1, 1958, to Argyle and Vernice (Greenhagen) Bersie. He grew up in Minneapolis. He moved to the family cabin on Bay Lake as a young adult as he loved the lake life and his fast boats! He worked many years at Hansen’s fixing small engines and was a cook at The White Hawk, Lonesome Pine, Little Whitefish Resort, and Garrison VFW.

Robert "Bob" Lee Himmelright Obit

ROBERT "BOB" LEE HIMELRIGHT passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, in Deerwood. He was born to Clara (Grife) and Aaron Himmelright on April 15, 1934, in Nary, MN. He graduated from Bemidji High School and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was deployed with a regimental mortar company in the 3rd Marine Division to Korea shortly before the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed. He was a lumber yard manager in South Dakota and Minnesota and an instructor at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount.

A gathering for Clifford Rono who passed away Dec. 25, 2025 will be held on Saturday, July 25 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Deerwood Auditorium in Deerwood. The gathering is being held by is brother Adolph and sisters, Sharon, Delores, Janice, Joan and Jane. Lunch is being served. No cards please.
