GARY G. HITE, 75, of Little Pine Township, died at his home on July 26, 2022. A Celebration of Life is being planned for Saturday, Aug. 20. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.

JACQUELINE J. TIBBETTS, 86, Crosby, died Monday, July 18, 2022 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Care Center. She was born Sept. 3, 1935 in Aitkin to Durwood and June (Osterheim) Gustin. She attended Spencer and then Aitkin schools. Later in life, she moved to Crosby, where she raised her children and worked for many years at The Town Tavern in Ironton. She loved her family and friends and helped them immensely. She loved to cook and shared her gift of cooking with many.  She loved her country music, her dogs (and any critter that came along).

SUZANNE RENEE FINCK, 69, of Brainerd, died on July 25, 2022, at her home at Hillcrest from dementia.   She was born on March 11, 1953 in San Francisco, CA to Willis and Adelaide (Crooks) Finck.  She was raised in San Jose, CA and moved back to Brainerd in 1989.   Suzanne is survived by her mother, Addie Finck of Deerwood; her brother, Greg (Tracey) Finck of Princeton; her uncle, Randy Crooks of Stillwater; her aunt, Villette Gottwals of Saratoga, CA; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding Suzanne in death are her father, Willis Finck and two infant sisters, Carolyn and Julie Finck.

BARBARA ANN (LOUND) ANDERSON, 61 of Mount Bethel, PA, died on Friday, July 15, 2022. She was born to  Herbert “Bud” Lound and Nona Irene (Atkeisson) Lound in  Brunswick, GA. She attended Crosby- Ironton High School until 1978. She graduated with her AA degree from Brainerd Lakes Community College in 1990. She went on to graduate with her Bachelor's Degree in Elective Studies in 1993 and Special Education licensure in 1994. She lived in many places including Maryland, Alabama and New Jersey, but Crosby was always home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Nona Lound.

JENNIFER JOYCE (OLANDER) BOCK, 79, of Bemidji,  died at her home on July 28, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born Feb. 11, 1943, in Crosby. She had a twin sister Janette that was born minutes after Jennifer but sadly only survived for two days. She grew up living on Perry Lake in rural Crosby and loved to tell stories of her adventures on the lake. She loved the water and fishing. She married Donald A. Bock on Aug. 4, 1960, and they made their home in Bemidji where they raised five sons. She loved to sew, play the piano, and dance.

RICHARD HLIDEK, 89, of Palisade, passed away peacefully at his home on the river, July 10, 2022. Born on Jan. 20, 1933, to Fred and Emma (Draplik) Hlidek, in Omaha NE, he married Darlene Gerke on Aug. 29, 1959. His Psychology degree brought much enjoyment and satisfaction working with children, and he had a special knack for helping troubled teens. Antique collecting and woodworking provided a lifetime of hobbies. Richard had a love for the Mississippi River. He enjoyed camping, and canoeing. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

FLORA BELLE HENDRICKSON, 91 of Crosby, died at her home on July 13, 2022. She was born on Feb. 25, 1931 in Stewart to Fred and Emma (Mueller) Boehlke. She married Pat A. Hendrickson on June 10, 1958 in Crosby.  She was a former elementary teacher for the Granite Falls, and Marshall schools and a substitute teacher in the Crosby-Ironton School District as well as a private piano teacher. She was a member of the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood and the Cascade United Methodist Church Women.

DELMER 'DICK' GUNTER, SR., 83 of Crosby died Feb. 2, 2022 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. He was born Dec. 13, 1939 in Litchfield to Caroline and Delmer Gunter. He married Elna “Bunny” on Aug. 30, 1958 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Litchfield. He is a member of the Army National Guard, worked in St. Paul and Hopkins before owning and operating the Bodega Pizza in Crosby. He is a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Cuyuna Range Youth Center. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elna; his parents, Caroline and Delmer; and two brothers, Jesse and Thomas.

HELENANN WRIGHT HYYTINEN, 85, Lacey, WA and Tucson, AZ, died July 7, 2022 at St. Pete's Hospital in Olympia, WA, due to complications leading to cardiac arrest. She worked at Anoka Senior High School in the Anoka-Hennepin School District then was a long-time employee of Olympic Jr. High School in the Auburn School District in Washington State; retiring in 1998. Helenann was born Sept. 2, 1936 in Brainerd to Kenneth and Verla (Pribyl) Wright.   She is survived by her husband, Raymond; four sons: Michael (Sheri) of Bonney Lake WA; Dr.

Mark Thomas Leino Obit

MARK THOMAS LEINO, 34 of Deerwood, died Sunday, July 10, 2022 in St. Cloud. Mark was born in Minneapolis on March 18, 1988 to Tom and Brenda Leino.  He graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School, class of 2006.  He was currently attending St. Cloud State University.  Recently he was employed at Costco in St. Cloud and previously with Graphic Packaging in Crosby.  Mark enjoyed the people he worked with. Mark loved his daughter Alice and the time he spent with her going to the playground and riding on the many scooters he bought for her.
