Charlotte Gibbons Obit

A mass at Immaculate Heart in Crosslake will be held Saturday, June 15 at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. for Charlotte Gibbons. Everyone is invited to a Celebration of Life at Gibbon’s home from 1 to 3 p.m. In lieu of memorials and flowers, we ask you to commit a random act of kindness in honor of Charlotte. Know that in doing so, Charlotte will be smiling upon you. Arrangements have been entrusted with Brenny Family Funeral Chapel of Crosslake. 

Mary Wood Severson Obit

MARY WOOD SEVERSON, 97, of Crosby and formerly of St. Paul, passed away on May 21, 2024 at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby.  She was born in Eau Claire, WI on April 1, 1927 to Alois and Dorotha (Wadby) Stussy. She graduated from Mundelein College in Chicago, IL.  She was a concert pianist on WGN Radio in Chicago, IL, retiring to Deerwood in 1989.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby and was very active at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Deerwood with the Altar and Rosary Society. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Walter O. Severson.

Rosemary (Van Horn) Vadner Obit

ROSEMARY (VAN HORN) VADNER, 79, of Ellsworth, WI died on May 21, 2024 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  She was born on May 11, 1945 in Brainerd to Jesse and Hettie (Amos) Van Horn.   She was an active member of her church, Assembly of God.  She participated in Operation Christmas Child each year, and put together gift baskets to celebrate each new baby of her congregation. She was incredibly generous. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Richard Paul Hesch Obit

RICHARD PAUL HESCH  joined his heavenly home surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from complications of Type 1 Diabetes.  He was born Jan. 10, 1944 in Brainerd the son of Paul and Lillian (Tokvam) Hesch. He graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1962.   Richard was united in marriage to the one and only  love  of  his  life, Marilyn Kay Matthews on Feb. 5, 1966 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. He worked for MacDonald Wold in Aitkin for 48 years retiring in 2013.

Cheryl (Hamilton) Copperstone Obit

CHERYL (HAMILTON) COPPERSTONE passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2024 in Thompson Falls, MT. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Ruth Hamilton. She is survived by her husband Tim; daughter Amy; son Chance (Jamie Madden); four grandchildren; four sisters, Debbie, Susan, Patti and Lisa and many nieces and nephews. No service is planned. Memorials may be made in her name to no kill animal shelters or Wild and Free in Garrison.
