TIMOTHY ALAN SOLOM, 60, of St. Paul, passed away on June 20, 2024 at Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis.  He was born in Minneapolis on Aug. 3, 1963 to Kenneth and Sandra (Mattsen) Solom. Preceding Tim in death is his father, Kenneth Solom.

VERNICE M. GRGURICH, 99, of Crosby,  died on June 3, 2024, in Onamia. She was born March 19, 1925, in New Bedford, MA to Charles and Mary Furtado. She was a graduate of Fairhaven High School, Fairhaven, MA, in 1942. She married Andrew Grgurich on Feb. 23, 1946 in Fairhaven, MA. She worked for five years as secretary to the superintendent of the Pickands-Mather Mining Co. and for 19 years as secretary to the superintendent of schools in Crosby. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Altar Society, was president of St.

RICHARD "RICK" WADE FLAWS, 51, of Merrifield, died due to complications of a stroke on June 19, 2024 at United Hospital in St. Paul.  He was born March 2, 1973 in Grand Forks, ND to Richard and Twyla (Shellum) Flaws.  Rick married Ann Tessmer on July 8, 2001 in Merrifield and they had two daughters.   Rick was the owner and operator of Evergreen Electric, Evergreen Storage and Storage Boxes Etc.  He was a member of Crosslake Lutheran Church and an avid outdoorsman. He loved going on fishing and hunting trips and attending concerts with family and friends. He loved and lived large.

LESTER "GRUMPY" ARTHUR RONO, SR., 80, of Crosby, died on June 6, 2024 at his home.  He was born on Aug. 29, 1943 in Perry Lake Township to Oscar and Hilda (Randall) Rono, Sr. He was a former employee of Scorpion, Land O’Lakes Turkey Processing Plant and MacMillian Bloedel.  He was also an area beef farmer. He enjoyed watching football. Preceding him in death are his parents; one son, Lester Rono, Jr.; six brothers, Oscar, Jr. “Babe”, David, Larry, Roger, Albert and Tony Rono; three sisters, Alice Simmonds, Caroline Warren and Nancy Perez.

CLEMENT "CLEM" VICTOR GAGNON, 93 years young.  Born July 7, 1930 to Joseph and Isabelle (Schelling) Gagnon in Niles Center, IL.  Clem went to meet his Lord and Savior on May 21, 2024. Clem was known for his quick wit, his kind and sweet soul, a man that could fix anything and most importantly his love for Jesus.  He owned and operated Clem’s Renovating Service for many years and was a janitor for the Crosby-Ironton School District. Clem was most proud of his incredible achievement of being a 54 year member of AA.

KAREN JEAN CHURCHILL, age 71 of Brainerd passed away on June 3, 2024 at Carefree Living in Brainerd.  She was born on Oct. 22, 1952 in Crosby to Myron and Lois (Brager) Price. She was a former Para Professional for the Crosby-Ironton School District and was a former employee of Ruttger’s Bay Lake Resort in Deerwood serving at Auntie M’s Coffee House.

DURWIN ALBERT MATUSKA, 70, of Crosby, died on May 18, 2024 at his home.  He was born on Feb. 1, 1954 in Minneapolis to Edward and Iona (Ahlbrecht) Matuska.  He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company with 25 years of service.  He enjoyed gardening, bee keeping, a good poker game, hunting and fishing. Preceding him in death are his parents; one brother, David Matuska and one sister, Danielle Benson.
