Peter "Pete" LeRoy Peterson Obit

PETER "PETE" LeROY PETERSON, 86, of Ironton, passed away Oct. 1, 2026 at Edgewood Vista in Brainerd. He was born April 2, 1940, in Crosby to Inez Marie Smith and Peter Krone Peterson. He married Barbara Francis (Getty) on Aug. 27, 1960 in Brainerd. He was a jet mechanic with the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a welder and in construction for most of his life. He had a “jig” made for just about anything you needed fixing. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Lloyd George, Lorainne Johnson, Donald George and Jeanette Haag. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barb, his children, Anita (Kevin) Goede, Houston, Stacy (Greg) Hillman, Brainerd, Michelle (Mike) Melenich, Ironton, Georgianna (Jeramie) Carlson, Crosby; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his sister Yvonne Wilson, Medford, OR.
