Arnold "Arnie" G. Johnson Obit

ARNOLD "ARNIE" G. JOHNSON, 86, of Crosby, passed away on Aug. 10, 2026, at the Heartwood Care Center in Crosby. He was born in Brainerd on Sept. 7, 1939, to Herman and Lavina (Klappenbach) Johnson. He was a Minnesota National Guard veteran serving from 1956 to 1964.  He was a former Crosby Police Officer.  He was a member of the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 of Ironton. He is survived by his son, Vint (Audrey) Gaard-Johnson of St. Paul; his daughter, Shelley (Cal) Midthun of Crosby; one brother, Lynden Johnson of Little Falls; five grandchildren, Eric (Anya) Johnson, Cole (Madison) Midthun, Megan (Wes) Caple, Karl (Paige Anderson) Johnson and Tanner (Kaitlin Donato) Midthun; two great grandchildren, Avery Johnson and Chase Caple; nieces and nephews Preceding him in death are his parents; and two brother, Stanley Johnson and Dennis Johnson. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, Aug. 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
