Adrian Olean Olson and Jean Elizabeth Olson Obit

ADRIAN OLEAN OLSON AND JEAN ELIZABETH (BUNGE) OLSON, who were married for 61 years, passed away within 45 days of each other. Adrian on March 25, 2026 at 82 and Jean on May 9 at  81. Adrian was born on Jan. 20, 1944 to Raymond and Ethel Olson in Spring Grove, MN. He graduated from Spring Grove high school and from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a degree in Elementary Education. He got his Master’s Degree from the University of Minnesota. He retired from Hennepin Technical College in 1999, where he held various positions, including Dean of Students. He also served on the Osseo School District School Board for nine years. Jean was born on May 22, 1944 to Elmer and Neva Bunge in LaCrosse, WI, and grew up on their family farm in Eitzen, MN. She graduated from Caledonia High school. She retired from Ameriprise in Minneapolis in 1999. Adrian and Jean are survived by their daughters Julie (Brenden) Harbaugh of Dubuque, IA and Laura (Randy) Heuer of Howard Lake, grandchildren Jonathan and Brooke Harbaugh and Robert and Elizabeth Heuer. They are also survived by Adrian’s brother Jeff (Marsha) Olson of Deerwood, Jean’s sisters Barb Rhodes of Deerwood, and Joan (Bert) Goetzinger of Eitzen, sister-in-laws Roseann Olson of Sioux Falls, SD, and Carolyn Olson of Spring Grove, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service for Adrian and Jean will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Howard Lake, on Friday, June 12 at 11 a.m. Visitation from 9:30  to 11 a.m. Lunch served after service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Ridgeview Hospice through the Ridgeview Foundation, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Crosby or St. John’s Lutheran Church, Howard Lake.
