Jon Curtis Christopherson Obit

JON CURTIS CHRISTOPHERSON, 41, of Dilworth formerly of Crosby, passed away Jan. 26, 2026. He was born on May 3, 1984 in Aitkin to Curtis and Darlene (Lueck) Christopherson, Jr. He was a resident of Crosby until 2019. He attended Cuyuna Range Elementary School and graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School, class of 2003. During his high school years he worked at C-I Video in Crosby. He earned the ranking of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of Myrin-James American Legion Post 443, Sons of the American Legion.  He continued his education and earned an associate’s degree from Central Lakes College and then attended the Law Enforcement Program at St. Cloud State University.  He worked for 20+ years for Target in Baxter, St. Cloud and Moorhead. He enjoyed traveling.  He traveled from New York City to Seattle, Hudson Bay and Alaska. He also went on several trips to the Boundry Waters for camping and canoeing. He is survived by his father, Curtis of Dillworth; two brothers, Scott (Angela) Figgins of Everett, WA and Mark (Melanie) Christopherson of Fargo, ND; one sister, Debbie (Steve) Bitner of Chippewa Falls, WI; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his mother, Darlene; and his grandparents, Curtis and Florence Christopherson, Sr. and Leslie and Irene Lueck. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 in Ironton on Saturday, April 25 from 1 to 4 p.m. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.   Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
