Wanita Blanch Hughes Obit

WANITA BLANCH HUGHES, 93, of Pine River, died on Sept. 18, 2024 at her home.  She was born on Sept. 20, 1930 in Summum, IL to Lindel and Margaret (Thompson) Winter.  She  was a life long homemaker and was an exceptional cook. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Arlo Hughes; one son, David Hughes and one sister, Opal Lesnau. She is survived by her daughter, Sandie Brown of Emily; one brother, William (Lamelle “Eva”) Winter of Mount Pleasant, TX; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. No services are being held.   Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
