Tyler Scott Martin Anderson Obit

TYLER SCOTT MARTIN ANDERSON, 43, passed away peacefully at his home in Roberts, ID, on Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Tyler was born on Jan. 26, 1981, to Scott and Karen Anderson in Anoka. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2005 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2007, Tyler moved to Jackson, WY driven by his love for the outdoors. The majestic Teton Mountains called to him, where he became an avid backcountry skier. His love for nature fueled his passion for camping, elk hunting, white-water rafting and mountain biking. His faithful dog Riplee, fondly known as "Ripp," was his constant companion. In 2015, Tyler met the love of his life, Crystal, while working at Hotel Terra in Teton Village, WY. He often described their first meeting as magical. Their strong friendship blossomed into a beautiful love story and they were married on July 31, 2019, atop Rendezvous Mountain after an exhilarating early-morning hot air balloon ride. The day after their wedding, Tyler began treatment for a rare brainstem tumor for which he had recently been diagnosed. Together, Tyler and Crystal faced this challenge with determination, pursuing every available treatment. During a brief remission in 2022, they welcomed their son, Henrik, who brought immeasurable joy to their lives. Tyler cherished his role as a father, known for his love of reading to Henrik and affectionately calling him "Curly Bill." Tyler worked for several engineering firms over the years, including Energy 1 in Jackson, WY until his illness forced him to step back. Throughout his life, Tyler's mission was to create lasting memories with friends, family, and everyone he met. Though his time on earth was too short, he lived fully, leaving behind a legacy that will endure in the trails, summits and sunrises over the mountains he loved so much. Tyler was truly one of a kind—a beacon of authenticity, a loyal friend, and a hero to his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott John Anderson of Monticello; grandparents Claire and Louise Anderson of Crosby; Grace and Gordon Hansen of Valley City, ND; Clifton and Gloria Rhodehouse of Menan, ID and his nephew, Stetsen Pinnock of Rigby, ID.
