Jimmie Lee Torvinen Obit

JIMMIE LEE TORVINEN, 81, died Feb. 29, 2024 in Rutherfordton, NC. He was born Oct. 1, 1942 in Minneapolis. He joined the Navy at the age of 17. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Wren (Crain) Torvinen; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Marty McSwain; sons and daughters-in-law Jim and Amy Torvinen and Tim and Andeena; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson, all of North Carolina; sisters and brothers-in-law Patty and Dale Van Horn and Cincy and Earl Van Horn, all of Crosby, Tammy and Bill Schaar of Finlayson and Rock and Ina Torvinen of Crosby. A Memorial Service has been held.
