DONALD SABYAN, longtime resident of Pequot Lakes, passed away at St. Cloud Hospital due to complications of COVID-19 on Dec. 13, 2020. He was born June 1, 1936, in Crosby to Joseph and Veronica (DeCent) Sabyan. He married Beverly Ross on Aug. 23, 1958.
Don loved to spend time with family and friends. He appreciated the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Don was a longtime member and retired Chief of the Pequot Lakes Fire Department. He will be truly missed by all that knew him.

KENNETH R. NELSON, 87, of Bay Lake and Edina, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center due to COVID-19.
He was born on June 2, 1933 to Gayle (Richardson) Nelson and Oscar F. Nelson in Dodgeville, WI.  He has two brothers and two sisters and enjoyed growing up in a small town.

MARGARET "PEGGY" M. ANDERSON, 93, passed away on Dec. 1, 2020, at her home in Medford surrounded by her family. She was born to George and Mary (Belmore) LeBlanc on Nov. 12, 1927, in Crosby.  Peggy was married to Robert D. Anderson on Jan. 3, 1948 in Crosby.

ELMER WILLIAM JOHNSON JR., 86, of Baxter, died at his home on Dec. 4, 2020.
He was born on December 9, 1933 in Little Falls to Elmer and Matilda (Skillings) Johnson Sr.  Elmer was a U.S.  Army veteran.  He married Betty Minor on June 24, 1953 in Rice Lake, WI. A retired employee of American Hoist and Derrick with 22 years of service.
He is survived by his wife Betty; three daughters, Diane (Vince) Cardinal of Oro Valley, AZ, Denise (David) Richter of Maplewood and Dawn (Bruce) Batzlaff of Alexandria; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

JENNIFER "JENNA" GRACE FISH, age 17 of Delano, passed away on Nov. 27, 2020, and is now with her Heavenly Father, who she loved and served with a willing heart.  She will be remembered by those who love and admire her for her kind-hearted compassion for others, both her inner and outer beauty, her high standards, and her dedication to both her family and Christ in whom she placed her faith.
Her family will remember Jenna by the verse that describes her best, Proverbs 3:15, “She is more precious than jewels; and nothing you desire compares with her.”

ANNA VRANISH, formerly of Midland, MI, joined her beloved husband Sam on Nov. 26, 2020 in eternal life. Anna was born Dec. 17, 1930 to parents James and Irene Temple of Crosby where she graduated high school and worked in their family restaurant, the Crystal Cafe.  She married the love of her life, Sam Vranish, on Oct. 18, 1952.

WAYNE McCOY was born Sept. 7, 1920 in Abilene, KS, and died Nov. 21, 2020, in Detroit Lakes at the age of 100. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He is survived by his wife Virginia, four children, nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was also a war hero and a P.O.W.

BRUCE E. NELSON, 80, of Crosby died on Nov. 28, 2020 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  
He was born on Sept. 26, 1940 in Minneapolis to Glen and Catherine (Shidla) Nelson. He was a Vietnam U.S. Army veteran and was a life member of the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 in Ironton.  He was a former Crosby-Ironton School Bus Driver and a former property manager for the Ironton Terrace.
