JANICE ROMAYNE PAULSON, 86, of Crosby, passed away on May 17, 2024 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby.  She was born on  March 11, 1938 in Fergus Falls to Raymond and Jeanette (Lundberg) Torgerson.   Janice obtained her nursing degree and became a scrub nurse at General Hospital, in Minneapolis, during the early part of her professional life. Her love for the healthcare industry led her daughter Kristin, and granddaughters, Emily and Jana, to follow in her footsteps.

JOAN LOUISE (SEELY) HAGBERG, 94, died on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 surrounded by her family.  Per her  request, a small family gathering will be held at a later date to commemorate her life. She was born the third of seven children to Jess and Ethel (Nichols) Seely on Feb. 13, 1930 in Staples.  She graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School where she'd met her future husband, Charles. Many of their years were spent in Madison, WI where they were very active in the AG church.

JUNE MARIE RONO, 71, of Brainerd, passed away on May 14, 2024 at Essential St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. A Celebration of June’s life is being planned for June 10, 2024.   Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.

SCOOT JASON RUDOLPH, 44, of Crosby, died Nov. 11, 2023 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. He was born March 16, 1979 in Crosby. He is survived by his daughter, Bryanna Wilson, mother, Sandra Rudolph, Allene Rudolph, one sister and two brothers. Charlene Hoglund died at home in Aitkin in 2023 at age 71. She was born in 1952. There will be a Celebration of Life Saturday, June 1 in Crosby Memorial Park on Serpent Lake from 1 to 3 p.m. Please bring a dish for a potluck picnic. Attendees will be invited to share a memory.

MARLENE ANN MATTSON, 79, of Crosslake, died at the Golden Horizons of Crosslake on April 11, 2024.  She was born on May 20, 1944 in Aitkin to Eli and Marjorie (Edwards) Jerry. Preceding her in death are her parents; her son, Scott Mattson; two sisters, Mary Fenstermaker and Jenny Wilson and three brothers, William Jerry, John Jerry and Dan Jerry.

FLOYD MICHAEL HALE, 78, of Stillwater, passed away peacefully on Jan. 3, 2024 in his Stillwater home surrounded by family. Floyd was born on May 22, 1945, to Floyd and Agnes (Zappa) Hale in St. Paul.  He was married to Shirley (nee Simon) for 51 years.  They made their home in several places around the country including Oakdale; Lansdale, PA; Salt Lake City, UT; Middleton, NJ; Austin, TX; Crosby and lastly Stillwater. They lived their dream for 26 years in Crosby in a log house on Perry Lake.

LOIS ELAINE LANDBORG, 82, died surrounded by family on May 1, 2024 in Andover. She was the youngest of four children born to Walter and Ruth (Heckenliable) Mickelson on March 31, 1942.  She grew up in East Bethel and graduated from St. Francis High School in 1960.  She married the love of her life, Kenneth Landborg on Nov. 4, 1961 and had a loving marriage for 58 years.   Her biggest joy in life was raising her four children and being a part of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives.
