DOROTHY PORTZ, age 75 of Crosby died on May 8, 2023, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.

JOSEPH WILLIAM BUTNOR,  86, of Deerwood, died on May 3, 2023 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  He was born on June 19, 1936 in Waterbury CT to Joseph and Eva (Gowlis) Butnor.  He  was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran.  He married Sharon Halvorson Anderson on Aug. 15, 2019 in Watertown, CT. Preceding him in death are his parents and his first wife, Lucille Butnor and step-son, Thomas Anderson.

DAWN KARLENE CHAMBERLIN, 67 of Goshen, IN, formerly of the Crosby area, died on May 3, 2023 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  She was born on Nov. 1, 1955 in Blue Earth to Loren and Neva (Shuttleworth) Armstrong.   Dawn married Edward Chamberlin on May 25, 1974 in Crosby.   Preceding Dawn in death are her parents; son, Zachariah Chamberlin, grandson, Dakota Chamberlin and one brother, James Armstrong.

Alvin "Al" Stewart Jensen Obit

ALVIN "AL"STEWART JENSEN, 86, of Emily, died at his home on May 7, 2023.  He was born in Minneapolis on Feb. 3, 1937 to Carl and Grace (Jones) Jensen.   He married Patricia Moore on April 29, 1961 in Iowa. He has been a resident of Emily since 1970.  He was a former police chief for the city of Emily with 14 years of service and  a retired Mason in the Emily area. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Patricia and two brothers.

Patrick "Pat" Smith Obit

PATRICK "PAT" SMITH, 73, of Deerwood, passed away unexpectedly in his home on April 19, 2023. Pat was born on April 23, 1949, to Boyd “Bud” and Jeanette (Ruoko) Smith in Crosby. He was the third of eight children. Pat graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1967 and attended UMD for a year before joining the Air Force (1968-1972). He was well-known around Crosby as a mail carrier from 1980 to 2006. He spent most of his postal career serving the residents and businesses of northeast Crosby, fueled by his many regular coffee hosts along the route.
