Maree A. Cooper Obit

MAREE A. COOPER, 66 years young, passed away Feb. 11, 2021 at St. Cloud Hospital with family by her side. She was born May 16, 1954 to Carlota Estrada and Ernesto Chavez in Denver, CO.
Maree graduated from West High School, class of 1969. She later graduated from Denver Police Academy in 1979. She married Charles A. Cooper May 23, 1981 at Candlelight Wedding Chapel, Las Vegas, NV. She spent her final years working at SuperOne Foods in Crosby.
Maree lived for spending time with her family, especially her grand- daughters Charlotte P. Cooper, Arya J. Cooper and Paige N. Cooper (Ian Kirker). She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, music, art and cooking. She had a bright, warming smile and an ability to strike a conversation with anyone.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marianne H. Estrada and Rose Reyes.
Maree is survived by her husband, Chuck; one son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Cassondra Cooper of Brainerd; two stepsons and step-daughters-in-law, Brian and Ann Cooper of Aitkin and Charles and Sylvia Cooper, Jr. of Denver, CO; one brother, Benito Estrada of New Mexico; one sister, Lorraine Vigil of Colorado, three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, Feb. 26 at Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. A prayer service will follow at noon. A luncheon will be held at the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 in Ironton following the prayer service.
COVID restrictions will be observed with masks and social distancing.
