Carol Jean Nygard Obit

CAROL JEAN NYGARD, 75, of Crosby, died on June 21, 2020 at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby.  She was born on Aug. 16, 1944 in Crosby to Leonard and Mildred (Nord) Nygard. She married Dennis Kagel on July 14, 1962 in Crosby.  She worked with John and Mary Kay Papenfuss at Papa John’s Pizza for many years.  She retired from the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby from the medical records department. After she retired, her priority was taking care of and spoiling her grandkids.
Preceding her in death are her parents; one son, Joe Kagel and one sister, Judy Thoms.
Carol is survived by two daughters, Kerie Kagel of Brainerd and Tracey Tuper of Crosby; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, June 28 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 1 to 4 p.m.
